On Tuesday November 9, 2021 the Presbyteral Council approved the following changes to our diocesan COVID-19 protocols for the celebration of Mass, effective immediately:
· The use of hymnals is now permitted
· Having ushers take up the collection using baskets with long handles is now permitted. The use of collection baskets without handles-such that they must be passed from person to person along the pew-is to be avoided.
The following restrictions remain in place: no holy water on the fonts, no offertory processions, and no distribution of the Precious Blood. Those distributing communion should continue to be vaccinated, wear a mask, and sanitize their hands.
